Biography

Rupert Schmid, is the Chairman of Biologique Recherche, the manufacturer of French skin care products worldwide. After graduating from the University of Vienna, Austria, Rupert Schmid continued his studies of International Business, Marketing and Communication at INSEAD in Paris, one of the world’s leading graduate business schools.

Following top-level positions at several media and communication agencies, Rupert Schmid worked as the Head of Communications and Media at Veolia Environment and Veolia Transport. For 7 years with the company he directly advised top management and decision makers. Particularly inspired by his meeting with sailor Yvan Griboval, Rupert built and supervised the first worldwide protection plan for Antarctica and the Ross Sea during his work at Veolia Environnement.

Rupert Schmid has always been passionate about Nature and the Environment and has taken great acts to preserve it. With a strong interest in aquatics and aerodynamics, and after experiencing years of paragliding in the French Alps, Rupert Schmid took part in the 1994 Worldwide Glider Championship before he obtained his own private pilot’s license.

He is now Chairman of Biologique Recherche, associated with Pierre-Louis Delapalme and Dr. Philippe Allouche. Loyal to the original spirit of the brand, he continues to develop and spread the brand in France and worldwide, strictly enforcing the brand’s values and the authenticity of its unique products and techniques
